Impact size reduction

Hammer Mills

Hammer mills for intensive reduction and for liberating materials through impact.

01

How it works

In the grinding chamber the material is struck and reduced by fast rotating hammers.

The screen decides which fraction can leave the machine. Build, rotor, hammers and screen are matched to the material, the capacity and the end fraction you need.

High-impact processing and material liberation

The RSS Hammer Mill is designed for intensive size reduction and for liberating valuable material components.

A fast rotor with robust hammers sets the material in motion with high energy. Through repeated blows and impact the material is not only reduced: composite materials are also knocked apart from each other.

A screen under the rotor sets the output fraction. Material that is still too large stays in the grinding chamber and is worked further until it can leave through the screen.

The Hammer Mill is particularly suited to applications such as hard disks, electronics, copper bearing materials, cable residues and other composite material flows, where liberating the different components is essential for the separation that follows.

That makes the Hammer Mill a powerful process step within complete recycling lines, for example after a shredder and ahead of magnetic or mechanical separation.

High impact. Maximum liberation.Built to liberate valuable materials for efficient recovery.

What do you want to process?

Material, capacity and the end result you want decide the solution. Tell us about your application and we will look at which machine or configuration fits it.
