Recovering valuable material fractions.
After reduction, different materials often have to be separated from each other.
Depending on the material flow and the end product you want, several separation and sorting techniques can be applied, such as:
- magnetic separation
- eddy current separation
- air separation
- screening
- mechanical sorting
A good separation result, however, starts before the separator.
Materials have to be reduced enough, and where needed the different components first have to be liberated from each other. Shredders, granulators and hammer mills can therefore play an important preparatory role for the separation that follows.
Reduce. Liberate. Separate. Recover.
