Conveying is where a line stalls
The machines get the attention, but the conveying between them decides whether a line keeps running. A belt set too steep lets material roll back. A belt that is too narrow fills up at the first peak, and then the shredder behind it stands waiting for work that is already there.
Belt height, incline and speed
Those three decide most of it. The incline follows from the material: light, smooth material slides back where heavy material stays put, so we lay a belt flatter for film than for wood. We match the speed to the machine behind it rather than the one in front, because a belt running faster than the shredder can take only produces a blockage.
What we put on the belt
An overband magnet at the point where the layer is thinnest takes the iron out before it does damage further along. Where dust is released we put a cover or an extraction point on the transfer, because that is where it starts. And the emergency stop along the feed belongs within reach of where somebody actually stands.
Matched to your hall
We draw the conveying onto the layout you have: where the door is, where the forklift has to pass and how much height is free under the trusses. That is also the moment to decide whether a dosing bunker is worthwhile, because it takes the peaks out of the feed and keeps the shredder at a constant load.

Questions
How steep can a conveyor be?
It depends on the material. Heavy, coarse material stays put on a steeper belt; light, smooth material slides back. That is why we lay a belt flatter for film than for wood, and where the space does not allow it we use a belt with cleats.
Do you supply conveying on its own?
We do, but it works better taken along with the line. The speed and the belt height follow from the machines around it, and that matching is exactly where a separately ordered piece of conveying usually goes wrong.
Can a magnet go on the belt?
It can, and we place it where the layer is thinnest, because that is where it pulls out the most. Ahead of the shredder it is the cheapest way to keep damage away from the rotor.
